The Youth Group at Brett-Reed Memorial Presbyterian Church collected hundreds of new and gently worn shoes during their Soles4Souls shoe drive. New shoes were sent to people whose lives had been devastated by earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, fire, and other catastrophic events. Gently worn shoes were sent to micro-businesses in impoverished communities in over 127 countries for cleaning and repair before they were resold at nominal cost to local residents.
Members of the Youth Fellowship at Brett-Reed recently prepared over 50 Hygiene Kits that were distributed by the Presbyterian Church (USA) Disaster Relief Assistance to countries such as Haiti and Japan.
