Seasons of Worship At Brett-Reed

Advent begins with a Service of Remembrance, using the ancient Jewish tradition of placing stones to remember those who are no longer with us. Each Sunday in Advent, different family groups light the Advent Candles.

Christmas features the Chrismon Tree, decorated with traditional and modified ancient Christian symbols – known as Chrismons – that have been handmade by church members of all ages.

Brett-Reed offers a 5:30 p.m. Christmas Eve worship service.

During Lent we participate in the West Point Ministers’ Association “Soup & Sermon” series, at noon each Wednesday in West Point.
Easter begins with a Sunrise Service on the banks of the Pamunkey River, followed by breakfast at the church, Sunday school, and a joyous morning worship that celebrates the Resurrection of our Lord.
